Jake McMurray is a 2018 SS with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Tulsa, OK who attends Bishop Kelley HS. Slender young middle infielder's build, plenty of room at add weight and get stronger. 7.22 runner, has soft hands on defense with a short and clean exchange, shows lateral range from side to side and stays balanced well on the move, works through the ball when possible, has athletic actions and is light on his feet, makes accurate throws with developing arm strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread even stance, short direct hand path to the ball with good extension through contact, stays balanced well and has leverage at contact, showed the ability to hit to all fields. Solid all around player with good skills in addition to his athletic tools. Good student.
