Jack Fitzgerald is a 2019 C/RHP, 3B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Monroe Twp, NJ who attends Monroe Township High School. Medium, broad shouldered built with present strength proportioned well throughout frame. Ran a 5.51 40-yard dash. Primary catcher, higher set behind the plate in drills but stays compact throughout actions, receives the ball out front and gets on top of throws, can continue to incorporate additional lower half coming out, lower transfer, shows accuracy on throws to second base, arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wider base in the box and utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing. Very short swing and direct path to the ball and through the zone, uses strength well to generate bat speed. Keeps hands inside the baseball and creates consistent loud contact of the barrel, projects for more pop with extension out front at point of contact, worked the middle of the field well with hard line drive contact. Very good student.
