Jaron Shook is a 2018 1B/RHP, 3B, OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Bettendorf, IA who attends Bettendorf High School. Young lean build with room to fill out and add strength. Has some present strength in body, hits from an open stance, uses a leg lift trigger to start swing, pull approach and flashed power potential. Gets extended through ball well and makes consistent contact with occasional hard line drive contact. Defensively, clean fielding actions, sure hands. Also pitched, 3/4 arm slot with a long lose arm action. Fastball has good arm side run and stays tall on backside. Gets down hill with fast all. Curveball showed 11/5 shape with depth and flashed some tight late break. Had idea with curveball as he could bury it and throw it for strikes. Repeated delivery well. Showed a straight change that was deceptive with good arm action and speed. Good Student.
