Connor Carlton is a 2018 LHP/ with a 6-2 238 lb. frame from Abilene, TX who attends Wylie HS. Has an extra large frame, large build, and sign of strength throughout body. Is a primary pitcher with good mound presence. Delivery starts with large hip coil and turn back toward second base and a medium leg lift just past the waist. Arm action is easy coming from a three-quarters arm slot and a short arm circle through the back. Throws both a four seam and two seam fastball with good command, two seam fastball has solid sinking and running action. Curveball displayed 1/7 shape with good bite and break, quality break. Changeup has nice downward bite. Pounds the strike zone with all pitches and works quickly. Projects for more velocity as he continues to develop. Great student. Named to 2016 South Underclass Top Prospect List.
