Elijah Dale is a 2019 SS/RHP,/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Saint Louis, MO who attends St. Pius X HS. Medium frame with an athletic build and wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional size and strength. Primary shortstop with clean, polished actions while moving to and through the baseball. Funnels the baseball well out front and worked through exchange quickly. Shows very good arm strength across the infield topping at 90 miles per hour. Switch hitter with a balanced, slightly open stance. Displayed very good balance at the plate with aggressively attack the baseball with a naturally leverage barrel plane. Baseball jumped off the barrel producing very loud, hard contact to the middle of the field on a line from each side of the plate. Shows the present tools to hit at a high level from each side of the plate. Also pitched utilizing a high leg lift delivery. Deeper arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarters slot. Fastball jumped out of hand creating heavy tail in the mid to upper 80's, topped at 88 miles per hour. Changed speeds with a sharp slider that flashed late tilt to glove side in the upper 70's. Good student. Named to the 2018 National Indoor Showcase, Top Prospect List.
