Levi Avery is a 2017 3B/MIF with a 6-0 217 lb. frame from Forsyth, GA who attends Mary Persons. Large frame with athletic, very strong build throughout. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.17 seconds. Sets up to hit with slightly open, balanced stance; high back elbow set, line drive swing plane with slight lift, very good strength in swing with raw power present. Has good bat speed, showed extra base power in both batting practice and in game, will drive the ball better with more incorporation of lower half in swing. Moves well to the ball in the infield, showed some range to both sides, fields cleanly, solid arm strength across the diamond up to 77 MPH. Pitched as well, showed medium-length arm action to high three quarters slot, online delivery with balance, FB worked 69-72 MPH with solid life, drop and drive mechanics that he repeats well. Showed CB with 11/5 shape and good depth; also flashed CH with late sink to arm side. Good student.
