Connor Brady is a 2019 C/MIF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Chino, CA who attends Chino Hills HS. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional size and strength. Primary catcher with an athletic, slightly side set stance while receiving the baseball. Displayed soft hands with good lateral range while blocking. Gains ground while working out of crouched with quick, fundamental footwork. Released from a compact arm slot producing accurate carry to the bag at 76 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.00. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and simple front side trigger. Stays on back side throughout with rotational lower half actions. Loose path to contact with a clean, linear barrel plane through extension. Stays behind baseball well at contact and primarily looked to drive the baseball to the middle of the field. Showed best barrel feel and jump when attacking baseball out front in a strong position. Excellent student as well.
