Jack Mangene is a 2019 SS/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Boalsburg, PA who attends St Joseph's Catholic Academy. Large frame with long limbs and a lean, athletic build. Ran a 7.02 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with deliberate footwork while working to the ball. Clean glove actions while funneling from a deeper position and worked through exchange with fluidity. Released from a loose, loose three-quarters arm slot created some carry across the infield. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing smooth paced actions through the baseball with clean glove actions. Gets on top of baseball and released and created on line carry to the bag topping at 78 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with a spread, slightly open stance and simple trigger. Level, line drive barrel plane through extension and primarily worked to the middle of the field. Showed good balanced throughout swing with the ability to manipulate bat head and works to the opposite field as well. Very good student.
