Andrew Maple is a 2018 OF/3B with a 5-11 151 lb. frame from Corona, CA who attends Centennial. Maple has a medium sized frame with a lean athletic build. Defensively he showed good footwork to and through the baseball and showed good outfield actions. His arm works well and he showed arm strength up to 81 MPH. Maple showed good instincts and footwork in game on some difficult outfield plays and made them look pretty easy. At the plate, Maple starts with a bent knee stance and a high hand set. He has a shorter swing and made a lot of contact to the pull side in BP. He made some hard contact in game including a hard line drive over the second baseman's head. Maple is a solid player that played with energy during the games portion. Very good student.
