Hank Smith is a 2022 C/3B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Cartersville, GA who attends Cartersville. Medium frame with an athletic type build showing with some room to fill out physically down the road. Ran a 7.63 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, sitting athletically in his stance as he did a nice job blocking baseballs up and spotting up on corners. Reaches for the baseball at times with two hands on throw downs. Carries weight well into throws as he works with a compact release. Recorded a solid 1.90 second pop time during workouts. Secondary Third Baseman, sitting back on the baseball before working cleanly through it. Gathers out front with soft hands and shuffles into transfers. Arm strength starting to show as he threw it 80 mph during drills. Shows good feel for the position and has the arm strength to play here. Left-Handed Hitter, starting balanced as he drifts into front side during separation. Linear swing path as he shows some whip through the zone. Looks to pull the baseball when possible but also proved he can spray it. Nice opposite field ground rule double during games. Projects with some power in the bat. Outstanding Student.
