Cole Gaskill is a 2018 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from The Woodlands, TX who attends The Woodlands. Medium frame with an athletic build. Projects for additional size and strength. Primary outfielder with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Fundamentally sound glove actions while funneling with clean exchanges. Released from a loose three-quarters arm slot generating on line carry to the bag topping at 83 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and simple front side trigger. Lower half works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Generated solid bat speed through the zone with present strength at contact on a slightly lifted plane through extension. Ball jumped off the barrel well when squared with solid carry to the gaps. Also pitched utilizing a simple leg lift delivery. Stays balanced at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Lands at a closed position on front side creating some cross fire through extension. Released from a three-quarters arm slot generating some cutting action to arm side in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 78 miles per hour. Curveball had 1/7 shape with loose spin and some depth. Also flashed a slight with sinking action to the bottom of the zone in the low 70's. Excellent student.
