Chase Elliott is a 2021 C/RHP, 3B, IF, OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Concordia Lutheran. Recorded a 7.14 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium frame with long levers and additional room to add strength. Primary catcher with a solid catch-and-throw skill set; incorporates slightly side-saddled stance, receiving softly out in front and displaying quick feet to gain ground towards his target. Shows ability to repeat well with quick mid-line transfers, quick release and present arm strength. Displayed fairly accurate throws to the right side of the bag. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked in the upper-70s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 80 mph from a higher three-quarters arm slot. Shows the ability to tunnel his 12-6 shaped curveball effectively, missing bats often with it and showing comfortability throwing it at anytime. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a high back elbow and slightly wrapped hand load. Middle-of-the field approach with slightly upward swing plane and occasional impact to the middle and pull-side of the field. Showed fairly consistent bat-to-ball skills with developing feel for the barrel. Will improve with minor swing adjustments and additional strength. Good Student.
