Chase Demichele is a 2018 OF/LHP with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Gainesville, FL who attends Gainesville HS. Large frame with a strong, athletic build. Ran a 6.72 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Clean glove actions with one handed funnels of to side of body and works through transition efficiently. Stays on line with target at release generating solid carry to the bag, topped at 83 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with a spread, slightly open stance and high back elbow set. Created good shift into contact with linear lower half actions. Shows present bat speed and strength through the zone with the ability to aggressively turn barrel to contact. Ball jumps off bat well to the pull side gap producing good backspin with carry. Outstanding student. Named to the 2017 National Underclass East Showcase Top Prospect List.
