2016 Mid Atlantic Underclass Showcase
Tanner Froehlich is a 2018 C/1B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Pittsburgh, PA who attends Plum HS. Has a large frame and strength and athletic look. Posted a 7.66 second sixty yard dash. From behind the plate, showed quick transfers while gaining ground toward target, gets the ball out cleanly and is accurate on throws down to second. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a wide base and high back elbow. Stays short in path to the baseball, showed good hand speed and leverage out front. Clears lower half and hips to the baseball while staying loose. Easy swing overall, more to come as he continues to develop even more barrel feel. Good student.
