Landon Babay is a 2017 LHP/ with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Acworth, GA who attends Allatoona HS. Medium, athletic frame with lean present build; good projection remaining on frame to continue filling out. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.21 seconds. Shows short, compact delivery on the mound with good repeatability. Stands tall on backside and gathers himself well over the rubber, drives downhill and lands online, clearing hips well through release. Throws from three quarters arm slot and creates good plane and some angle to the plate as a result, fastball worked 77-82 MPH with loose arm action and life to the arm side through the zone. Attacked the strike zone early and often with fastball to both sides of the plate. Showed curveball with sweeping shape and some depth; good pitch that spins well. Throws changeup with good conviction and extension, good fading depth on the pitch with quality deception. Did a very good job mixing pitches and commanding a 3 pitch arsenal. Very good student.
