Brenton Phillips is a 2017 SS/3B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Albany, GA who attends Lee County HS. Large frame with athletic, highly-projectable present build; good room to continue filling out. Ran well, posting a 6.94 second 60 yard dash time. Sets up to hit from narrow-based start with active hands pre-pitch, leg lift trigger, drops hands into load and gets on line drive plane early as a result. Shifts well into contact and gets hips moving forward well. Shows good bat speed and is willing and able to hit the ball on a line to all fields consistently with projectable power potential. Worked out defensively in the infield, moves well to the ball and surrounds it, funnels cleanly with two hands and fields well. Moves into crow hop well, shows good accuracy across the diamond with quality arm strength clocked up to 82 MPH. Good student.
