Chase Slone is a 2014 RHP with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Kennesaw, GA who attends Kennesaw Mountain HS. Slender young high waisted build. Slow paced delivery with a pause at the top, lands closed and throws cross body from a mid-3/4's arm slot, has some whippyness to his arm stroke, has deception in his delivery. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, hard late sinking and running action at times, fastball gets into right hand hitters hands with movement and deception, will occasionally cut fastball glove side. Short slurvy cruveball, drops slot frequently on curveball and gets under it at release, will need to improve consistency. Have seen him consistently topping out at 86-87 mph during the summer and fall at tournaments and graded out accordingly. Signed with Lander. Named to the World Showcase Top Prospect Team.
