2022 Uncommitted Main Event Showcase (2023 Grads)
Michael Floyd is a 2023 LHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Bowmanville, ON. Medium, well-proportioned frame with some strength in his lower half. Recorded a 7.19 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary left-handed pitcher with a simple, repeatable operation and the ability to pound the strike zone with all three of his pitches. Incorporates a slightly higher leg lift into balance and works down the slope efficiently. Fastball worked in the upper-70s to low-80s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 83 mph from a three-quarters arm slot. Commanded both sides effectively, changed speed and showed feel for spin. Flashed more traditional shaped breaking ball with two-plane break and gradual depth, while mimicking his arm speed and showing a good differential on his changeup. Will continue to improve with additional velocity, advanced pitchability. Excellent Student.
