Quinn Gillen is a 2025 OF/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Malverne, NY who attends Chaminade. Long limbed young athletic build with lots of physical projection ahead. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread and open stance, gets into his lower half well to drive his swing, loose hands and good extension through contact, looking to pull and lift the ball and has some juice in the barrel when squared up, things to like as he gains consistency in his swing and timing as a hitter. 5.10 runner in the forty. Primary outfielder on defense, arm strength is his best defensive tool, still developing his feel and fundamentals working through the ball. Also pitched, has a big side step start to his delivery and an extended mid 3/4's arm slot that creates some deception. Fastball topped out at 80 mph with nice running action at times. Maintains his arm speed well on a sweeping slider, also flashed a change up. Should keep improving in all areas with repetitions and additional strength. Very good student.
