Cole Ayala is a 2023 C/RHP, UT with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Fortuna, CA who attends Fortuna Union. Features a medium build with some athleticism present. Ran a 7.08 60-yard dash. Worked out on the infield and behind the plate. Showcased smooth hands on the infielder. A quick first step allows for range in both directions. Showcased a strong, accurate arm across. Threw 82 mph during workouts. Hands play well behind the plate. Showcased quick feet out of the crouch. Still developing consistent fluidity throughout the release. Recorded a 1.88 second pop time. Right-handed hitter. Stays balanced throughout the swing. Looks to lift and drive balls to the pullside. Can produce quality power that way when on-time. More power should come as the barrel accuracy continues to be refined. Right-hand pitcher. Displays a quick tempo delivery with a high leg lift. Throws with a fair amount of effort. The fastball got up to 78 mph with some ride through the zone. More velocity should come down the line. Shows the ability to manipulate the break on an upper-60’s curveball.
