Jacob Dunn is a 2024 3B/RHP/2B with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Hermosa Beach, CA who attends Mira Costa. Lean young build. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a simple and well timed shift into contact, has good hand quickness and swings hard, has some barrel to ball skills and a sound overall approach, bat speed will continue to improve as he adds strength. 7.55 runner in the sixty. Primary infielder who shows good lower half twitch and quickness, works to the ball well with good fundamental footwork and direct angles through the ball, works through his throws well and has a quick release, has the actions and athleticism to play the middle infield. Also pitched, drop and drive mechanics with a compact arm action that hides the ball well, 3/4's arm slot. Mid-70's fastball, topped out at 77 mph, good arm side life at times. Cureveball was a solid second pitch with some downer bite, also threw some change ups that he turned over well. Good athlete who will keep improving with physical maturity. Good student.
