Michael Kalis is a 2007 RHP/1B with a 6'4'', 195 lb. frame from Gibsonia PA, who attends Sewickley Academy. He has a good pitcher's body with good height and developing strength. Kalis has a long, loose arm action with fair overall pitching mechanics. His fastball was up to 81 mph and was pretty straight in the zone. Kalis's best pitch was a 73 mph split finger that had good deception and tumbling action. He also threw a big, sweeping curveball at 68 mph and had a circle change up in addition to his split finger. Kalis worked quickly and threw strikes with all his pitches. His size and loose arm give him a chance to throw harder in the future.
