2005 Ohio Valley Top Prospect
Michael Seander is a 2006 RHP from St. Raphael's Academy in Cranston, RI, with a 6'2'', 205 lb. frame. He has good present strength. Seander has a fast arm action from a sound pitching delivery. His fastball reached 87 mph with good sinking action and he occasionally cut this pitch as well. Seander threw both a curveball at 68 mph and a slider at 78 mph. His slider was his best breaking ball, with a sharp break and good depth. Seander's change up also had good deception and life at 73 mph. He showed good command of all his pitches, hit his spots and worked in and out with an idea. Seander is a very good pitching prospect who should adjust quickly to the college game with his command and variety of pitches. He is an excellent student off the field.
