Chris Atamanchuk is a 2009 MIF/P with a 5'10'', 150 lb. frame from Englewood, FL , who attends Venice High School. Atamanchuk is a young (2009) player with lean frame and athletic look. Defensively he has solid actions with great flexibility and movements. He has an easy arm that produces 82 mph throws across the diamond. His throws are online and accurate. Atamanchuk's also shows body control, especially on slow rollers. At the plate he is a left handed hitter who hits from a straight away stance. He is a contact hitter with a line drive swing plane. Quickness in his bat. He makes solid contact and centers the ball well. Atamanchuk has the ability to hit to all fields. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot. His arm works well with effortless action. He spins his curveball well at 68 mph. He gets life on his fastball that topped out at 79 mph, and he projects to throws harder in the future. Atamanchuk has upside to his overall game, and he is an excellent student as well.
