LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2004 National Underclass Dec 28-30
Scott is a 5-11 sophomore infielder from Florida who hits from the left side of the plate. He has a loose, young body with slender features. Scott ran the 60 in 7.73 and threw 70 mph across the infield during drills, although he made most of his throws with a short flipping action that might not have shown his true arm strength. At the plate, Scott hits from a narrow stance with limited load or trigger and gets out on his front side very quickly. He has a short, compact stroke and shows some hand strength and bat speed when he can turn on a ball. Scott also showed a willingness and ability to bunt, which we don’t see in showcases all the time.
