2019 Top Prospects

Jack Hyde  RHP - 2019 - La Mesa, CA
San Diego

Hyde has a loose and very projectable 6-3/175 build along with a smooth and loose arm action. He worked in the 83-86 mph range with his fastball with a low effort release that promises plenty of velocity gain in the future. His best secondary pitch was a change up that had a consistent release point and arm speed with his fastball.

William Coquillard  RHP - 2019 - Pacific Palisades, CA
Georgia Tech

Coquillard is listed at an imposing 6-8/215 and that measurement certainly looks legit. He has a smooth and easy delivery and arm action and filled up the zone with an 80-83 mph fastball and a big breaking curveball. Coquillard's left handed swing was also smooth and easy with very good barrel control to emphasize his athleticism and projectability.

Ryon Padayao  C - 2019 - Anaheim, CA
Uncommitted

Padayao did a nice job of putting his full skill set on display and it's one that begins with his righthanded swing. Very short and simple, yet power, Padayao was able to impact the ball in live action and batting practice and showed off his quickness at third base with a nice diving play glove side.

Daniel Galvin  OF - 2019 - Chandler, AZ
Uncommitted

Galvin was the fastest runner at the event with a 6.65 time in the sixty and his speed really plays well in centerfield. He made three outstanding plays defensively in one game chasing down hard hit fly balls, including one laid out diving catch that any outfielder at any level would have been proud of.

Andrew Duran  1B - 2019 - Covina, CA
Cal State Northridge

Duran is an extra strong 6-2/200 athlete who really gets outstanding carry off his barrel. He hit a line drive home run to right centerfield in one at-bat that got out of the park immediately but had a number of other at-bats where he simply muscled the ball through the infield or in between outfielders.

Mike Schreiber  RHP - 2019 - Rancho Santa Fe, CA
University of Washington

Schreiber has a strong and durable 6-0/190 build and very polished present mechanics and ability to use a four-pitch mix. He worked in the 82-85 mph range with his fastball to spots and mixed in an 81 mph cutter, a 74 mph change up and a 70 mph big downer curveball and had a very easy time navigating three innings of work.

Nathan Hamberg  RHP - 2019 - Sugar Land, TX
Uncommitted

Hamberg has a big and projectable 6-3/195 build and the makings of three solid pitches. He was up to 84 mph on his fastball with lots of heavy life at the plate and also mixed in a nice curveball and change up. He's not consistent with his mechanics yet but looks to be a good athlete with lots of growth potential in his skills.

Tyler Weiner  OF - 2019 - Murrieta, CA
University of California, San Diego

Weiner, an uncommitted outfielder, put his tools on display throughout the weekend, running a 6.94 60-yard while showing a compact arm action in the outfield. His righthanded swing is his biggest tool as he does a nice job to limit moving parts and with easy hands is able to impact the baseball to the middle of the field.

Benny Casillas  SS - 2019 - Culver City, CA
Uncommitted

Casillas ranked among the top on a couple leader boards as he was one of a few to run a sub-7 60-yard (6.96) and threw 84 mph across the diamond which was second highest of the event. His righthanded swing also picked up a few hard base hits in live action, showing his ability to work all fields with a handle for the barrel.

Jared Littlefield  OF - 2019 - La Jolla, CA
Uncommitted

Littlefield enjoyed a well rounded showcase, running a 6.94 60-yard dash before throwing 84 mph from the outfield where he showed good energy and clean mechanics. He also repeats his swing well, showing leverage through the zone with quick hands and a direct path.

James Kobylt  3B - 2019 - Los Angeles, CA
University of Washington

Kobylt was 80 mph or better from any of his three positions he showed from, including 84 mph from the outfield, putting his arm strength on display which will only continue to develop as he refines his actions. His righthanded swing helped create steady jump to his pull side showing nice bat speed and a handle for the barrel.

Maximilian Ramirez Iv  RHP - 2019 - Los Banos, CA
Niagara

Ramirez is a young and projectable righthander who's listed at 5-9/140 but posseses plenty of quickness both in his frame and in his right arm. He was up to 83 mph on the mound and attacked hitters with his fastball while showing bite to his curveball and he even swung it well from right side with consistent line drive contact.

2020 Top Prospects

Vincent Temesvary  OF - 2020 - Los Angeles, CA
Gonzaga

Temesvary stood out in a variety of ways this weekend and perhaps his arm strength was the biggest tool as he threw 89 mph from both the outfield and the infield before popping 86 mph on the bump. He took one of the louder rounds of BP as well staying short to the ball with present bat speed through the zone and jump to his pull side.

Kaleb Hatch  C - 2020 - San Marcos, CA
Uncommitted

Hatch is an uncommitted, lefthanded hitting backstop who showed well on both sides of the ball throughout the weekend. His actions behind the plate are compact and repeated with nice carry to his throws while his swing is both short and quick and he did a nice job of consistently hitting the ball out front.

2021 Top Prospects

Alonzo Tredwell  RHP - 2021 - Coto De Caza, CA
UCLA

Tredwell may have been one of the younger players in the event as a 2021 grad but his tools were by no means out of place. A primary righthanded pitcher who shows a clean and loose arm action and bumped 84 mph on the mound, Tredwell also impressed with the bat from the left side showing quick hands and solid bat speed.
