Marietta, Ga. — The Central Alabama Titans scored five runs in the bottom of the first to effectively down the East Cobb Angels, 5-3, Thursday morning on Field No. 2 at the East Cobb Complex.
Titan starting pitcher
Cole Limbaugh (2011 Childersburg HS, Ala.) topped out at 88 mph and allowed one run on five hits through three innings. Limbaugh also went 1-for-2 at the plate with a two-RBI double.
Meanwhile, Central Alabama closer
Cameron Carleton (2011 Dadeville HS, Ala.) hit 90 mph during his one inning on the mound.
East Cobb wasn't stifled by the heat, however. Right fielder
Trey Rodgers (2010 Kennesaw Mountain HS, Ga.), RHP
Jordan Brooks (2009 Tattnall Square, Ga.), catcher
Jake Harris (2010 Kennesaw Mountain HS, Ga.) and first baseman
Kyle Henderson (The Walker School, Ga.) all recorded multi-hit games.
Rodgers, Brooks, and Harris went 2-for-4. Brooks hit a single and a double, and Harris homered and singled. Henderson went a perfect 3-for-3 with three straight singles and a run scored.
For Central Alabama, center fielder Trey Cochran-Gill (2011 Tallassee HS, Ala.) went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles, a run scored, and a RBI.
