2024 Northwest Uncommitted Prospect Showcase (08/24/2024 - 08/25/2024)

3-Black vs. 4-Columbia Highlights >>

8/25/2024 6:55:23 PM

Will Kytta (2026 RHP, Tumwater, WA) pitched two quality innings. Noticeable intent down the mound with some armspeed. Up to 82 with the FB and mixed in a quality low 70s SL and CH.

Luke Wiederholt (2025 RHP, Denver, CO) struck out five in two shutout innings of work. Stands out with his 6-3/195 frame. Clean/loose operation where the FB was up to 83. Standout feel for his CB and SL that produced whiffs and showed quality spin.

Spencer Merwin (2027 RHP, Seattle, WA) pounded the strike zone in his two innings of work. Struck out three. FB lived in the mid 70s that he worked east/west with. Mixed in a couple developing SLs and CHs.

Carter Grant (2025 RHP, Enumclaw, WA) was a two-way standout this morning. Struck out four in his two shutout innings showing a mid 80s FB he commanded to the gloveside while also landing his CB and SL. At the plate he found an opposite field LD barrel into the RC gap for a single.

Rylan Keane (2026 LHP, Des Moines, WA) was the best performing pitcher this game where he struck out the side twice. Exclusive FB/CB from the left side. FB up to 79 he worked to all quadrants and showed standout feel for his CB that produced several whiffs

Reynaldo Rojas (2027 RHP, Lynnwood, WA) threw two quick shutout innings. Only mid-70s with the FB but showed a ton of confidence and feel with his slurvy breaker that produced a ton on of ugly swings and whiffs.

Ryan Judge (2027 3B, Puyallup, WA) threw a quick shutout inning. Worked fast with an uptempo operation. FB was up to 79 and mixed in a few developing CBs and CHs.

Sebastian Fournier (2025 SS, Anchorage, AK) also threw a shutout inning. Showed a shorter AA within a repeatable operation. Up to 77 with the FB and mixed in a quality SL and killed spin on an upper 60s CH.

Brody Gadberry (2027 RHP, Port Orchard, WA) was another two-way standout. Pitched two shutout innings where he struck out four showing good feel for his breaking ball. Also added a pullside line drive single where he showed a clean RH stroke.

Joseph Wiederholt (2025 OF, Denver, CO) lined one hard into the RC gap for a triple. Stays balanced and behind it well where he shows decent quickness to the hands/barrel.

Seth Danielson (2026 OF, Snohomish, WA) had an opposite field hit into the LC gap. Shows a balanced LH stroke where he stays in his backside and delivers the barrel on a slight uphill path.

BP Highlights >>

8/26/2024 5:26:23 AM

Ethan Sugimoto (2025 1B, Renton, WA) kept it real simple/minimal with the lower half and let his quick hands play. Showed quality bat speed where he threw the barrel on an on-plane path that produced several LDs throughout his round.

Luke Wiederholt (2025 RHP, Denver, CO) flashed some quality bat speed and impact during his round. Shows loose hands that deliver the barrel on a flatter path with a high finish that produced some strong barrels to the pullside.

Sebastian Fournier (2025 SS, Anchorage, AK) had a LD filled round of BP. Shows loose hands that delivered a direct and accurate barrel with a level finish. Kept a middle approach while also showing his ability to use the whole field.

Ryan Judge (2027 3B, Puyallup, WA) showed a simple/rhythmic stroke. Barrel path works more level through the zone that produced more LDs than FBs/GBs during his round. Good use of the lower half while maintaining balance. Flashed some pullside impact.

Will Kytta (2026 RHP, Tumwater, WA) took some intentful hacks during his round. Noticeable quickness to the hands that delivered the barrel on a slight uphill path with contact out front. Solid strength at impact when contact is out front. Leverages his lower half well.

Tad Medvedich (2025 C, Puyallup, WA) showed a more rhythmic stroke where he loads early but gets to launch on-time. Was on-barrel the majority of his round showing a more direct bat path with a one-handed level finish. Stayed up the middle with quality line drives and flashed some pullside loft/impact.

Chase Beninger (2027 1B, Bremerton, WA) displayed a simple RH stroke where he let his strength/physicality do the work. Simple moves into launch that help maintain balance and where he throws the barrel on a more short-to-long path. A lot of loud contact off the barrel through the middle of the field.
