6-Royal vs 7-White Game Highlights >>

8/30/2021 12:09:42 AM

Dylan Vigue (2023 SS, Leominster, MA) was pure electricity from the bump, going 3 strong innings of 1 hit baseball and striking out 7 in the process. He worked from a live 3/4 slot with great downhill momentum up to 88 mph on the heat and flashed a sharp 11-5 slider with both vertical and horizontal planes. Vigue shouldn’t expect anyone to touch him in the box anytime soon.

Luke Steinrock (2024 2B, West Chester, PA) showed off the nice inside out swing with an opposite field line drive to RF to get his day off on the right foot. Steinrock jumped on pitches early and often with a compact stroke and the ability to cover the outside part of the plate.

James Asmus (2022 1B, New Hyde Park, NY) had consistent disciplined AB’s at the dish and proved that he could stay back well on off speed pitches to produce an effective line drive approach. Asmus successfully showed hand separation to get the barrel extended and sent hard contact to the pull side of the field.

Antonio Marcucci (2023 LHP, Alexandria, VA) is back in the postgame blog, this time for his 3 innings of no run 5 strikeout work on the mound. He fits the funky lefty description throwing from a whippy side arm slot up to 79 mph with lots of swing and miss potential. Marcucci also flashed a late breaking slider that changed shape and had hitters constantly swinging over the top of.

Hankerson produces tons of carry and backspin on the baseball with great launch angle and lots of lower half rotation. He punishes inside pitches to the pull side but also utilizes an entire field approach when needed.

Ethan Alcantara (2023 RHP, Sayville, NY) was extremely efficient on the bump, tossing 5 innings of 1 hit no run baseball on the day. He worked from a high 3/4 arm slot with a compact arm action that threw strikes and let his defense do the job behind him.

Jake Lenahan (2024 RHP, South Abington Township, PA) continued his hot weekend with another 2 knocks including a hard line drive back up the middle from a balanced approach. Lenahan’s strong build should only further mature and add power potential in the future.
