Califfornia: Bishop Amat Wins Hardball 9

Bishop Amat crushed Esperanza 12-1 in the championship game of the Hardball 9 National Classic tournament at Cal State Fullerton yesterday. 3B/RHP Rio Ruiz nailed down the save after coming in the 4th inning and allowing just one hit. CF Wallace Gonzalez was named the tournament MVP, Jordan McCraney was Most Valuable Pitcher. This was the third National Classic title in Amat's school history.

El Capitan (CA) knocked off IMG Academy (FL) 9-7 in the third place game.
