After a lights-out performance at the WWBA World Championship in October, in which he topped out at 97 and also showed a wicked curveball,
RHP Jose Fernandez vaulted to #2 in the Perfect Game Class of 2011 rankings. He received more good news in November when he was granted a 5th year of eligibility by the FHSAA.
He has been awesome again this year, his debut was a 5 inning shutout. He struck out ten, walked one, and topped his fastball out at 98.
He will likely be one of the first high school pitchers drafted this June.
