1-West vs 4-Texas Game Highlights
9/27/2026 12:00:00 AM

Evan Rosales (2027 RHP, Houston, TX) cruised through 4 solid innings of work, only allowing 2ER and really attacking hitters. Fastball worked in the low to mid-80s coming from an over-the-top slot. Showed 2-shapes on the breaking ball in the low-70s with late bite to it. Some have more horizontal movement; still refining it. Overall competitive day on the mound, working with pace.

Gavin Franciosa (2028 SS, Katy, TX) let the ball travel and hammered it the other way for a lead-off triple. Smooth stroke that stays level through the zone. Tons of athleticism in the frame; got around the bases easily.

Luis Arcaya (2028 1B, Houston, TX) was all over one that was left over the plate and smashed it to the pull side. Good size in the box, has quick hands, and generates good power in his lower half. Swings with intent to do damage; gets the barrel out front often.

Houston Hartfield (2028 SS, Mansfield, TX) destroyed a middle-middle pitch off the wall for a loud double to drive in a run. A lot of physicality left in this kid's frame with good control of the barrel. Not afraid of turning on a pitch.

Ashur Clark (2028 C, West Haven, UT) left the yard on a mistake cut fastball that stood no chance of staying in the park. Generates plenty of bat speed with a slight uphill path through the zone. Coils well into his back hip with a clean weight transfer.

Diego Perez (2028 C, Katy, TX) gets his arms extended on an outer half fastball and legged out a triple. Hands work quickly through the zone with good direction to all fields. Split the opposite-field gap with this hack.

Matteo Gross (2028 3B, Pearland, TX), way ahead in the count, sees the ball deep and took a healthy hack at it, driving it to the RCF gap for an easy double. Good strength at impact can drive the ball from gap to gap with power. Good athlete getting around the bases as well.

Blake White (2028 C, Katy, TX) ambushed a fastball, just missing a home run by a few feet to lead off the inning. Physical backstop with strength to the pull side. Quick and compact path to the ball, letting the hands work out front.
