Liam Skeen (2028 RHP, Big Stone Gap, VA) had a dominating first inning today for team gold, running the fastball up to 92 with sizzle and run to the arm side. Skeen has a very quick, athletic delivery with a fast arm from a shorter arm path. He also sequenced pitches well, relying on the fastball primarily, but also mixing a changeup in the low-mid 80s with fade and a sharp slider in the low 80s.

Sam Dicker (2028 RHP, Bronxville, NY) got the start for the Black squad, sitting right at 89-91 with the heavy fastball with life. Dicker has a stronger profile with an explosive delivery, and also mixed in a breaking ball well in the mid 70s with some sweep to it.

Scott Miner II (2028 C, Omaha, NE) showed off the pop at the plate here in the third inning, smoking one up the middle at 96 mph exit velocity. Miner's swing has a solid base with solid feel to hit, and he was able to tally a base knock and steal second shortly after.

Anthony Huaranga (2028 3B, Nutley, NJ) put the oppo strength on display in the third inning of the game, launching a homer the tall wall in left at 96 mph exit velocity. Huaranga has a narrow stance with lower hands at the dish, and gets the hands back up in the load in time. Huaranga also worked well on the mound, working in the 88-91 range with the breaking ball at 79-82 with sharp action (~2449 RPM) and a changeup in the low-mid 80s with fade. Huaranga later launched his second homer of the day, launching it into the trees in right at 103 exit velocity and 434 feet.

Banks Alexander (2028 C, Lexington, SC) had an impactful swing in the top of the fourth, sending one down the line in left for an RBI double. Alexander has a strong base with solid hands to get to the pitch inside. Alexander has solid impact to the pull side, and was able to show that in this one. He later showed off the arm from behind the plate, catching a runner stealing with the quick feet and transfer.

Charlie McCrory (2028 OF, Spartanburg, SC) had an impressive swing in the fourth, smoking one right at the shortstop. McCrory has some stand out strength at the dish with plenty of pop in the barrel. This one left the bat at 95 exit velocity. He later on launched a double to burn the left fielder, this one leaving at 91 EV.

David Robertson (2028 3B, Westford, MA) had one of the loudest swings of the day, launching a homer to left field. Robertson has an excellent power profile at the dish with a simple operation, and this one left the barrel at 96 exit velocity and 391 feet into the trees.

Gavin Whitley (2028 RHP, Greenville, NC) had a solid barrel to kick off the fifth inning, shooting one into the right center gap for a double. Whitley has a quiet approach at the plate with the ability to hit liners all over the field. Whitley also showcased on the mound, working the fastball up to 89 with 3 strikeouts.

DJ Ford (2028 OF, Tampa, FL) brought home a runner here in the fifth inning, grounding one up the middle for the RBI base knock. Ford has an intriguing athletic profile with feel to the barrel, and is also a solid runner at 6.52 seconds in the 60.

Isaias Torres (2028 3B, Oviedo, FL) tried to take out our wall in right center in the fifth, smoking one off the center of it at 100 exit velocity. Torres has an XL frame with plus power in the 2028 class, and didn't miss a stitch of this one. He later had an appearance on the mound, working in the 91-94 range with tons of life to it. He also mixed in a tight breaking ball in the low 80s. The fastball has plenty of ride to it, getting swings underneath it often.

Nolan Slaymaker (2028 1B, Fort White, FL) lit up the radar gun here in the fifth, working in the 90-94 range with plenty of ride to the fastball. Lukas Metzen (2028 OF, Houston, TX) had a solid showing on the hill, working 88-91 with the running fastball. Metzen works a loose delivery with plenty of athleticism. He also worked in a slider with horizontal shape in the 76-77 range, generating some swing and miss.

Quincy Gibbs (2028 SS, Farmingville, NY) had a good showing of stuff on the mound, working the fastball up to 90 with plenty of life to it. Gibbs has a lot of athleticism on the mound, and mixed in a low 70s breaker with good shape and a fading changeup at 81.
