Colt Welch (2031, Calhoun, Ga.) toed the rubber for Gold and showed some quality stuff. The fastball topped at 76 MPH with arm side life and he showed feel for a three-pitch mix to go along, striking out four during the outing.

Jonah Landreth (2030, Oxford, Ala.) threw a pair of scoreless innings on the bump and struck out three. The right-hander employs a simple delivery and topped at 76, commanding it north/south with a solid changeup to go along.
