Jacob Holm (2027, Colorado Springs, CO) made a statement in his first at-bat, catching a heater out front and showing excellent strength to lift it out of the yeard for a solo homer. The shortstop has power upside and swing projects really well.

Lucas McElhoe (2027, Lancaster, S.C.) showed some loud stuff on the bump, getting the start for Columbia Blue. The right-hander ran the heater into the low-90s and works from a clean, loose operation, mixing in a biting vertical curveball to pair. 

Alex Byrd (2028, Indian Lakes Estate, FL) drove a liner into the left centerfield gap for a base knock to kick things off in the top of the first. The backstop swings with lots of intent in the box and has quickness to the hands. 

Derek De La Rosa (2027, Miami, FL) picked up a base hit in his first at-bat of the showcase, shooting a shot into right field. The primary first baseman oozes power upside from a strong, physically built 6-foot-3 frame. 

Casey Rector (2027, Bristol, VA) capped the game by squaring a ball and impacting it pull side for a double. The Virginia native possesses strong hands and solid pull side pop.
