Engel Martinez-Gomez (2027, Santo Domingo, Dom.) showed a lot to like in his start on the mound. The right-hander sat in the mid-80s with heavy sinking and bore that he used to tie hitters up, as well as running it back in on the plate. He spun the breaking ball in the low-70s while showing feel to land it for strikes.

Ladarius Dennis (2028, Pensacola, Fl.) put an impressive swing on a ball in the third inning, putting it into deep right field for a standup, backside double. The shortstop has good tools all around and the ability to impact the ball to all fields is showing well.

Jax Kohler (2029, Clearwater, Fl.) stepped up to the plate in the top of the third and promptly grounded a ball sharply inside the right field line for a two-bagger. The left-handed swing is smooth and loose with some nice whip to the path.

Nolan Pontius (2027, Clearwater, Fl.) had a great day at the plate, picking up a pair of hits, including a backside double on a good drive into the right centerfield gap. Both knocks came off of mid-80s and the swing certainly plays with simple components and rhythm throughout.

Leonardo Ruiz (2027, Caguas, P.R.) pummeled a ball high in the air and deep into the pull side gap for a double. The ball came off the barrel hot and there is obvious power projection and strength to the profile, standing at a physical 6-foot-3.
