5-Red vs. 6-Royal Game Highlights
5/11/2024 7:13:22 PM

Ben Martin (2025 RHP, Kennesaw, GA) is showing some obvious arm speed here early on in the outing. Worked in the 89-91 range, getting up to 92 mph once. A short slider in the upper-70s has been mixed. He's a big and physical mound presence with good stuff.

Kayden Noel (2025 RHP, Mount Juliet, TN) rolled through the outing for Royal. He worked in the 76-78 range and pounded the zone with the fastball. He tunneled a breaking ball with horizontal shape well and only allowed one hit in the outing.

Nicholas Youngblood (2025 C, Pinson, AL) got a pitch to hit early on in his at-bat and didn't miss it, sending a triple down the right field line. He has solid bat speed and handles the barrel well. He attacked early on in the count and continues to show a lot of things to like here on day one.

Brue Milner (2027 C, Tallassee, AL) continues to have a great showing early on in day one with a double down the left field line. Was a standout on the defensive workout and also added multiple homers in his round of batting practice.

Micah Purdom (2027 OF, Franklin, TN) drove in a run in the middle innings, following up Milner's double with a single into right field. He stayed on it nicely and showed good bat speed and feel for it.

Wyatt Rath (2027 C, Tuscaloosa, AL) continued the hot inning later on for the Red team as he hit a single through the left side to tack on another run. He's had a solid showing at the plate with good bat-to-ball skills on display.

Zachary Simmons (2026 1B, Acworth, GA) got the ball out of the bullpen for Royal and threw the ball well with more to project on. He sat in the mid-80s early on and mixed in a sweeping breaker.

Aaron Bailey (2026 3B, McCalla, AL) got the ball out of the bullpen for Royal and showed a bunch of things to like. He worked into the mid-80s with a tight breaking mixed in. It comes from a higher slot and works both in the same tunnel well.

Aaron Bailey (2026 3B, McCalla, AL) got a pitch over the middle of the plate and hammered one down the left field line for a double. He put together a good round of batting practice and didn't miss this one.
