1-Green vs. 2-Orange Game Highlights

Lincoln Dalton (2026 RHP, Bettendorf, IA) was overpowering on the mound today, working ahead of hitters throughout his outing and putting them away late with either swings and misses or called strike three's.  He primarily goes to his fastball that explodes through the zone at 87 mph.  He works a sharp breaking curveball off this heater that had hitters confused all day.  He also showed the ability to throw his slider with more horizontal shape in for strikes and used a late fading change up as well.

Carsen Dekeyrel (2026 LHP, Andalusia, IL) has a calm presence on the mound, utilizing a free and easy motion and generating lots of action on all of his pitches.  He showed the ability to generate nice arm side run on his two-seam fastball that was up to 80 mph.  He works a late breaking curveball with two plane break off of this pitch, causing hitters fits as they work in opposite directions.  He also flashed the ability to

David Gartner (2025 C, Riverdale, IA) showed solid two way potential today, finding barrels at the plate and showing nice promise on the mound.  At the plate, he was consistently on time and fought off tough pitches which rewarded him with a sharply hit single back up the middle.  On the mound he showed plenty of feel for his fastball/slider combination that kept hitters off balance.

Kendrick Heffernan (2026 3B, Tipton, IA) was locked in at the dish today, staying through the baseball and working it to where it was pitched.  In his first at bat he stood up to some high velocity and got on top of a fastball, hitting it sharply the other way through the hole for a single.  Later in the day he pounded another ball hard back up with middle for another crisp single.  He is poised at the plate and does not get over matched.

Brady Wyckoff (2025 LHP, Cedar Falls, IA) did a nice job of finding results at the plate today.  He has a fluid swing and stays on balance consistently.  He showed off his ability to time up opposing pitchers when he was all over an inside fastball and hammered it into the left center field gap for what would have been a stand up double.

Damen Dahlhauser (2025 SS, Blue Grass, IA) showed nice promise both on the mound and at the plate during his opportunities today.  He is an athletic player that is able to run his fastball up to 82 mph and works a solid curveball off of it to keep hitters uneasy.  At the plate, he has a confident approach and is able to handle all pitches.  He was rewarded with a hard single to left field during the game action.
