Batting Practice Highlights

Vincent Favata (2025 OF, Syosset, NY) put together a consistent round of BP to kick off the morning session. Getting the barrel out, flashing some power potential to the pull side, Favata displayed present quickness to his hands, the young freshman showcased an advanced approach at the late as he shot line-drives through the middle-of-the-field. 

 

Gabriel Marcoux (2023 C, Concord, MA) produced some loud contact throughout his round as he impacted the ball well to the pull side. Present feel for the barrel, Marcoux possesses present hand strength that allowed him to whip the barrel through the zone. 

 

Riley Weatherwax (2024 3B, Poughkeepsie, NY) putting together one of the best rounds of the day, Weatherwax employed a simple, easy stroke that produced well-struck line-drives using to long levers to stay on the ball through extension. With present juice to the pull side, the Poughkeepsie, NY-native had an impressive workout Sunday. 

 

Christian Alicea (2024 C, Mastic, NY) showcased some legitimate juice to the gaps during his round, explosive hand speed, Alicea incorporates his strong lower half well as he generates plenty of bat speed. Consistently producing loud barrels, the young catcher stays on the ball well through extension. 

 

Matthew Rappa (2023 OF, Garden City, NY) had a solid round during the morning session as he generated some loud contact during his round. Engaging his presently strong lower half, Rappa employed a compact stroke that sprayed line-drives to the gaps. 

 

Maxwell Dunn (2024 3B, Milton, MA) showed some flashes of easy pop to the pull side throughout his round. The Milton, MA-native peppered the left-center gap during BP, as he used his presently strong hands to turn on baseballs, creating lift. 

 

Aaron Gilden (2024 C, New York, NY) presented plenty of power to the pull side, peppering line-drives throughout his round of BP. Working uphill with some athletic twitch, Gilden fires his hands from a low set and produced some really loud barrels.

 

James Quinn (2023 OF, East Hampton, CT) impressed with an impactful left-handed stroke. Employing an elevated stroke, Quinn worked short to the ball using his natural strength to shoot the ball into the gaps. Flashing juice to the pull side, the East Hampton-native displayed advanced feel for the barrel. 

 

Jaden Lovell (2024 RHP, East Bridgewater, MA) showcased some impressive power to the middle-of-the-field, employing a quick, compact stroke that impacted well-struck line-drives to the gaps. 

 

Kyle Bailey (2023 C, Blauvelt, NY) displayed strong feel for the barrel throughout his round, generating loud contact with legitimate gap-to-gap power potential. Showing the ability to remain on time with his hanging leg-lift-trigger, Bailey did a tremendous job on incorporating his lower half to generate loads of bat speed. 

 

Jeremy Espinal (2024 SS, Bronx, NY) really impressed with his round of BP, displaying a whole-field approach as he peppered line-drives employing a compact stroke. An easy, repeatable swing with easy pop, Espinal has impressed in multiple facets throughout the workout. 

 

Billy Nichols (2024 SS, Oradell, NJ) had an intriguing round of BP with flashes of advanced barrel control and gap-to-gap power, the Oradell, NJ-native used his long limbs well to create barrel whip as his hands fired through the zone. 

 

Jake Haarde (2024 SS, Sudbury, MA) put together a consistent, loud round employing a linear swing plane with exceptional feel for the barrel. Haarde possessed an intriguing hit + power tool, using his strong lower half to generate tons of bat speed while remaining under control with a middle-of-the-field approach. 

 

Ellis Windheim (2023 3B, New York, NY) peppered the right-center gap, showcasing some lightning quick hands as he employs as lofted left-handed stroke. Recording one of the highest exit velos of the day too, the ball explodes of Windheim’s bat. 

 

Derek Hawley (2023 1B, Cortlandt Manor, NY) packed a punch as he set up with in a crouched, compact stance. Excellent hand speed, Hawley got the barrel out consistently with a middle-of-the-field approach. While flashing juice to the gaps, Hawley employed an elevated stroke, using his natural strength to create lift. 

 

Cameron Hawley (2023 2B, Cortlandt Manor, NY) was equally as impressive as his brother, displaying a similar elevated swing plane with present power to the gaps. Staying in his legs, the Cortlandt Manor-native generated tons of bat speed as he created barrel whip through the zone. 

 

Scott Paquette (2023 C, Birch Lane, NH) peppered the gaps as he was able to repeatedly get the barrel out to the point of contact. With present strength in his hands, Paquette was able to create barrel whip as he displayed excellent feel for the barrel throughout his round. 

 

Noah Hogan (2024 LHP, Macungie, PA) shot balls through the middle-of-the-field, utilizing a quick, compact stroke from the left side. He continued to get stronger as his round progressed, showcasing an advanced feel for the barrel with quick hands and a mature approach. 

 

Cooper Tarantino (2024 C, Sudbury, MA) remained quiet with minimal movement until it was time to unload on the baseball. A physically built, 6’0”/195lbs catcher, Tarantino was able to elevate the ball to the gaps, offering some serious power projection for a ’24 grad. 

 

Jackson Pam (2023 OF, Dix Hills, NY) displayed an advanced approach at the plate, shooting line-drives through the entire field. Utilizing an elevated stroke, Pam got his round started with facility echoing contact and found consistent barrels throughout his round. 

 

Jimmy Dobbs (2026 C, Fairfield, CT) an impactful ’26 stick, Dobbs was very impressive, showcasing some of the easiest juice of the day regardless of grad year. Displaying a heavy barrel at the point of contact, Dobbs mashed line-drives to the pull side with some big-time bat speed. 

 

William Kirk (2024 LHP, Saddle River, NJ) has impressed mightily throughout the day. Remaining balanced from the left-side, Kirk employed a lofted stroke with high bat-to-ball skills, peppering the pull side with backspun line-drives. Producing consistent loud contact throughout his round, the Saddle River-native is showing all the makings of a dangerous two-way prospect. 

 

Kevin Francella (2023 SS, Port Chester, NY) continued his impressive workout with one of the best rounds of BP of the day. Peppering line-drives to all fields, the talented shortstop showcased firey hands with legitimate bat speed that project to the next level. The ball jumped off Francella’s bat and he still contains tons of power projection as he continues to fill out his 6’0”/173lb frame.
