2018 Jr. National Showcase

3-Columbia vs. 4-Gold Highlights
6/9/2018 1:23:35 PM
Irving Carter (2021 RHP, Boynton Beach, FL) showed very good arm strength as he ran his fastball in the 88-90 mph range consistently for his two inning stint. The righthander creates significant plane when leveraged low in the strike zone whiel mixing in a curveball and very impressive changeup with sinking action and confidence.

Will Tynes (2020 RHP, Bossier City, LA) pounded the strike zone for two innings while living in the 83-86 mph range with his fastball showing short run to both sides. Tynes has very good feel for his 11/5 curveball with tilt and lots of depth and with a fast, loose arm stroke projects nicely.

Alex Greene (2020 OF, Edgewater, MD) went 1-2 on the afternoon with a hard hit double in the beginning of the game to drive home a runner. Greene hustled around the bases and has lots of impact strength through extension.

Robert Moore (2020 SS, Leawood, KS) notched an RBI double to the pull side but more impressively stood out for his defensive actions. Moore moves very gracefully with twitch and smoothness and is an automatic out up the middle.

Cayden Wallace (2020 3B, Greenbrier, AR) took an outer half fastball to the opposite field for a hard hit single, and also showed off the arm strength as he made a highlight reel play moving to his right in foul territory at third base to nail a batter trying to record a hit.

Isaiah Jackson (2020 OF, Savoy, IL) recorded an infield single and really stood out for his end line speed and baserunning instincts. Jackson stole three bases during the game and recorded a best run time of 4.11 seconds to first base, a plus time from the right side.

Ryan Bruno (2020 LHP, Wellington, FL) ran his fastball up to 89 mph from the left side with lots of life out of the hand and very clean mechanics. The young southpaw projects very nicely and also mixed in a frisbee slider and a changeup that got outs for him.
