Luke Heyman (2022 C, Longwood, FL) squared the ball up well again today going 2 for 2 with 2 hard hit singles including one right back up the middle. He has a lot of pop and consistently makes contact.

Seth Hoffman (2022 1B, Marshall, MO) pitched well in 3 scoreless innings and struck out 4. His FB topped out at 71 MPH and he mixed in a 66 MPH curveball. He threw great from the stretch and had some sink to his FB down in the zone. He was able to maintain his velocity throughout his outing.

Roman Anthony (2022 OF, Wellington, FL) had a great game both offensively and defensively. Defensively, he showed athleticism by making a sliding catch in left field. Offensively, he smoked a line drive single to center field showing a fluid swing through the zone and good pop.

Jesus Pena (2022 SS, Miami, FL) hit a hard line drive to left for a single in his only at bat. He continues to get barrel to ball and and turn on pitches. He has a very athletic frame.

Dylan Mercer (2022 C, Cape Coral, FL) threw 2 scoreless innings showing good velo on his fastball ranging from 76-78 MPH and mixed in a 69 MPH curveball and 62 MPH changeup. His fastball has a lot of life and keeps it down in the zone. He threw all three pitches for strikes and filled the zone.
