Max
Dineen (2018 OF, Pennsville, NJ) showed some good raw power with a home run
over the monster. Dineen showed quick hands and the ability to impact the ball
with strength well through the point of contact.
Justin Fields (2018 SS, Kennesaw, GA) is a touted quarterback prospect but has
some loud, raw tools at the plate. Fields has impressive raw bat speed with
power behind it. He stood slightly open at the plate and was looking to drive
the ball in the air.
Seth Halvorsen (2018 SS, Plymouth, MN) flashed high potential with the stick.
Halvorsen showed quality bat speed with a fluid stroke through the zone.
Flashed control of the barrel and the ability to square up the ball well out in
front.
Brandon Howlett (2018 3B, Lakeland, FL) has a very easy swing with fluidity and
looseness throughout. Howlett shows huge power and swings from a high hand set
and high back elbow. The swing is smooth when on time and Howlett impacts the
ball with tremendous strength.
Luca Tresh (2018 C, Safety Harbor, FL) has a wide base and is balanced
throughout. The swing is short and compact and he showed good feel for the
barrel of the bat. The raw power was very impressive as Tresh took three balls
out of the park and over the monster in left field.
John Malcom (2018 1B, West Bloomfield, MI) showed huge raw power at the plate with
excellent bat speed as well. Malcomb stands with a high hand set and high back
elbow. The hips fire well through the swing and was outstanding when he timed
balls up.
Robby Martin (2018 OF, Tampa, FL) stood slightly open with loose, quick hands
in the swing. He has a naturally lofted swing and showed the ability to drive
the ball well to all fields and showed occasional power to the pull side as
well.
Addison Barger (2018 SS, Thonotosassa, FL) showed high contact skills with the
ability to lace the ball to all fields. Barger has quick hands and gets some
hip torque through the swing. Barger's swing is fluid and he showed a knack for
controlling the barrel of the bat well.
Christopher Williams (2018 LHP, Woodstock, GA) had good rhythm at the plate with
a mechanically sound swing. He wags the bat into the swing but was on time
consistently with some lower half drive and drove the ball to all fields.
Kristofer Armstrong (2018 MIF, Jupiter, FL) has a repeatable swing with some
barrel feel from the right side of the plate. Armstrong showed quality bat
speed with a naturally lofted plane that generated backspin to the pull
side.
Lyon Richardson (2018 OF, Jensen Beach, FL) showed an extremely easy swing with
a loud barrel and consistent line drive contact. The balls jumped off the wall
to the pull side from the right side. Richardson's wing was very repeatable and
showed intriguing power potential.
Sawyer Chesley (2018 C, Laguna Beach, CA) displayed some of the loudest contact
of the night with excellent raw bat speed and big power. The swing was pretty
smooth overall with loose hands and fluidity throughout.
Jared Poland (2018 2B, Indianapolis, IN) stood with a high hand set and a high
back elbow. The swing was easy and compact with a simple trigger from the load
into the swing. Poland has excellent strength through the point of contact and
showed some raw power as well.
Kelvin Smith Jr (2018 SS, College Park, GA) took a very loud overall round with
hard contact on nearly every swing. Smith showed exemplary bat speed with a
naturally lofted swing plane. Smith stayed consistently on time and repeated
his swing well to wear out the pull side of the field with hard contact.
Cabera Weaver (2018 OF, Decatur, GA) worked with an incredibly loose swing and
excellent barrel control. He consistently drove the ball to the pull side of
the field and projects for power as he continues to add strength.
Lency Delgado (2018 SS, Miami, FL) had a very easy swing with a short, fluid
stroke through the hitting zone. Excellent projection on the frame with a
slightly open stance and was very impressive when on time.
Mateo Gil (2018 SS, Keller, TX) showed a balanced approach at the plate with a
strong gap-to-gap oriented swing. Gil made consistent line drive contact and
showed occasional leverage to the pull side.
Kevin Vargas (2018 SS, Las Mareas de Salinas, PR) showed excellent raw power
and a leveraged swing oriented for power to the pull side. Vargas showed
quality hand speed and consistently got the barrel of the bat out in front for
loud contact.
Erick Rivera (2018 OF, Salinas, PR) displayed a loud barrel to the pull side
and launched a home run during his round. All of the swings produced hard line
drives and hard pull contact with raw power.
Jayce Easley (2018 SS, Glendale, AZ) is a switch-hitter with a sound,
contact-oriented approach from both sides. The swing is short through the zone
and he shoed the ability to control the barrel in order to hit line drives to
all fields.
Jonathan Alonso (2018 1B, Clearwater, FL) had a crisp swing that produced loud
contact off the barrel. Alonso showed leverage in his swing with a lofted
swing. He looked to drive the ball hard into the air and often succeeded in
doing so.
Albert Hsiao (2018 C, San Jose, CA) flashed high level hitting tools with the
ability to impact the ball hard out in front. Hsiao was good pulling the ball
and showed some barrel whip through the zone.
Michael Perez (2018 SS, Cerritos, CA) swings with intent to drive the ball and
the swing was pretty fluid through the hitting zone. Hit from a high hand set
and high back elbow with the ability to leverage the ball and flashed big raw
power to the pull side of the field.
