2017 National Showcase

5-Black vs. 6-Maroon
6/19/2017 9:13:39 AM
Jack Perkins (2018 RHP, Kokomo, IN) showed high velocity this morning working in the 90-93 mph range. Perkins' slider flashed high potential and his arm travels very quickly through the arm circle.

Ethan Hankins (2018 RHP, Cumming, GA) has a very easy effort level and delivery on the mound. Hankins has a very quick, clean arm and worked 92-95 mph while topping out at 96 mph. He repeats his delivery well and showed a feel for three pitches.

Tim Borden (2018 SS, Sellersburg, IN) laced a double down the pull side line and knocked in a run. Borden showed a naturally lofted swing with quick hands to get the barrel quickly through the zone. He also stole a base and had the aggressiveness to advance to third on the ensuing past ball.

Hueston Morrill (2018 SS, Live Oak, FL) showed excellent athleticism and feel to hit with a triple down the line to the opposite field. Morrill went with the pitch and got the barrel of the bat on the pitch and has consistently shown interesting hitting tools.

Kendrick Calilao (2018 OF, Kissimmee, FL) made an outstanding catch in left field. Calilao got a great jump on the ball and accelerated fully into an extended dive. Calilao also shows quick hands at the plate.

Parker Meadows (2018 OF, Grayson, GA) laced a double to the opposite fields to show off his loose hands and ability to impact the ball hard on the barrel. Meadows is also an excellent runner and posted a 4.38 second time to first base on the turn from the left side.

Justin Wrobleski (2018 LHP, Canton, GA) worked a fastball that sat 89-92 mph and showed occasional life to the arm side. Wrobleski throws from a very comfortable and easy delivery with a mostly clean arm action. The Clemson commit flashed a slider with two-plane action.

Ryan Wimbush (2018 RHP, Palm Beach Gardens, FL) showed a collection of interesting pitching tools on the mound. He threw from an over the top arm slot and worked 87-89 mph with the fastball that had tremendous cut to it. He showed three pitches including a 12/6 curveball and a changeup.
