2017 Jr. National Showcase

5-Orange vs. 8-White
6/15/2017 12:08:20 PM
Tyler Owens (2019 RHP, Ocala, FL) started the game out and worked an explosive fastball. The pitch sat 87-90 mph while topping out at 91 mph. The arm is whip-like and has good arm speed to it. The Florida State commit's curveball flashed tight shape to it and he got lower half drive toward the plate.

Kevin Martin (2019 1B, Miami, FL) is a primary first baseman but showed talent on the mound. He worked 85-89 mph and the fastball showed occasional run to the arm side. Martin's arm action is longer but he throws with almost no effort.

Alex Greene (2020 OF, Edgewater, MD) has a very projectable frame with good arm speed on the mound. He worked the fastball 86-89 mph while topping out at 90 mph. Greene was blowing the fastball by hitters and attacked primarily with the pitch.

Dylan Crews (2020 OF, Longwood, FL) has shown a knack for the barrel of the bat during the event and it continued during this game. He laced a hard hit single to the opposite field and showed off his athleticism by adding a stolen base later on.
