Navy vs. Gold
6/13/2017 2:55:05 PM

Jonathan French (2019 C, Lilburn, GA) took care of business early in the game, hitting a two-out RBI double down the right field line. The 2019 Clemson commit showed a solid approach, staying back on a back door breaking ball to drill it to the opposite field.

2019 Oklahoma commit, Armani Sanchez (2019 SS, Houston, TX), continued to showcase his impressive speed, building upon his 6.76 60-yard with an easy stolen base to third. His up the middle approach compliments his strengths, getting a hard single up the middle and utilizing his feet to round the stations and ultimately score.

Rising sophomore out of Georgia and Alabama commit, Corey Collins (2020 C, Suwanee, GA) showed impressive bat speed and quick wrists, lining a fastball in on his hands up the middle for a hard single and RBI.

Logan Tanner (2019 C, Lucedale, MS) made quick work in his one inning contest, pounding the zone with a fastball showing arm-side run that touched 90, and mixing in a curveball with decent spin rate. Tanner finished the inning tallying a strikeout and garnering two weak groundballs.

Ronald Evans II (2019 2B, Raleigh, NC) is a 6’2 2019 grad listed as a 2B from Raleigh, NC, logging in at a solid 202 lbs. with a strong lower half and quick wrists. He showed his strength barreling a good pitcher’s fastball in on the hands solidly the other way for a single.

Riley Greene (2019 OF, Oviedo, FL) continued to show loose hands throughout the weekend, crushing a loud single down the 3B line late in the game.
