Batting Practice Highlights Part 1
1/7/2017 9:36:54 PM
Francis Villaman (2017 SS, Orlando, FL) creates his bat speed without much effort and has some impressive pop in his bat for a middle infielder.  He drove the left centerfield gap consistently with plenty of carry to his hard line drives.

Juan Pie (2017 OF, Santa Domingo, DR) looks and acts stronger than his listed 6-2/180 build  and the young Dominican left handed hitter has huge power potential once he matures.  He wore out the fence in right centerfield with shots that would be easily out of most ball parks.

Nicolas Gonzalez (2018 SS, Tampa, FL) is a Jacksonville commit with very good bat speed for his smaller 5-9/155 build.  He has an aggressive swing but was timed up from the first pitch with hard pull line drive contact.

Javeon Cody (2017 OF, Decatur, GA) has a strong 6-3/195 build and an easy and simple swing approach that led to lots of hard line drive contact.  He has lots of potential moving forward.

Tyler Doanes (2017 SS, Fayetteville, GA) has plenty of quick twitch athleticism in his swing and a short and fast path to contact.  He squared up virtually every pitch hard, mostly to the pull side.

Will Hardigree (2017 C, Auburn, GA) is another player who took a very solid and consistent round, showing lots of juice in his bat and some lift to left field in addition so consistent hard line drive contact.

Paul McIntosh (2017 C, Miami Gardens, FL) is a very strong right handed hitter who we've seen put on dominant performances in batting practice before.  He has very good raw bat speed and the ball really explodes off his barrel.

Miles Kelly (2017 1B, Wading River, NY) is a big young man at 6-2/225 and uses his strong core and lower half well in his swing to generate power and bat speed.  He has a pull and lift approach and is going to hit plenty of home runs in his future.

Rashad Collymore (2017 OF, Mississauga, ON) is a very quick twitch athlete who also plays the game very aggressively.  He's a switch hitter with an especially quick bat from the right side of the plate.

Cesar Valero (2019 2B, Calgary, AB) is a young Canadian who moved to that country from Venezuela as a youngster.  He has a projectable 6-1/172 build and a long and loose right handed swing with plenty of present bat speed and the potential for lots more.

Malik Williams (2017 1B, Toronto, ON) looks bigger than his already impressive 6-4/225 listing and is immensely strong.  His right handed swing is notable loose and whippy, though, which gives him huge raw power when he squares the ball up.
