Batting Practice Highlights, Teams 1-4
6/15/2016 6:32:43 PM

Hunter Greene (2017 SS, Stevenson Ranch, CA) has a such an easy right handed swing that he made one of the most difficult things to do is sports look stunningly easy.  He drove 4-5 balls completely out of Fenway South and made it look effortless in the process.

Ryan Vilade (2017 SS, Frisco, TX) has a very strong right handed swing and lots of easy lift to his swing.  The ball flies off his barrel.

Brady McConnell (2017 SS, Merritt Island, FL) attacks the ball with a big shift into contact but keeps his hands back well and explodes them at the ball.  He has outstanding raw bat speed.

Joshua Crouch (2017 OF, Sebring, FL) is another right handed hitter from Florida who explodes his hands at the ball hard.  He was timed up well from the start and squared up almost everything.

Terriez Fuller (2017 OF, Griffin, GA) is 6-4/240 and is some kind of strong.  His power comes very easily and comes from a well balanced and loose swing.  He hit a ball into the bleachers behind the bullpens in right centerfield that was majestic and impressive.

Zachary DeLoach (2017 OF, Lewisville, TX) has a complicated load that might have to be reigned in a bit for timing purposes but he has excellent raw bat speed and big power potential.

Joseph Perez (2017 3B, Pembroke Pines, FL) has high ceiling potential on the mound but is doing a good job proving to scouts he's a position prospect as well.  He took an outstanding BP, showing big pull power and bat speed from a very simple right handed swing.

Leugim Castillo (2017 OF, Lancaster, NY) doesn't have a classic power swing but he has enormous raw strength in his swing and easily cleared the Green Monster with some very long bombs during his round.

Adisyn Coffey (2017 SS, Albany, IN) has very good hand quickness from a somewhat hitchy hand load but was timed up and drove the ball hard consistently during his round.  He projects very well physically.

Kyle Jacobsen (2017 OF, Acworth, GA) is one of the most polished hitters in the 2017 class and it showed in BP today.  He lined balls all over the field and showed the strength and bat speed to lift the ball as well.

Zachary Daniels (2017 OF, Stockbridge, GA) is a quick twitch athlete who attacks the ball with very good right handed bat speed.  He had a very good round with lots of hard line drive contact.

Jordon Adell (2017 OF, Louisville, KY) will be a strong focus of scout's all summer as they evaluate his bat, as he might be the most tooled up player in the 2017 class.  He showed easy plus power in batting practice and rivaled Hunter Green for his overall round.

Noah Campbell (2017 SS, Durham, NC) has a nice and loose swing with good lower half use and very good bat speed.  He made consistent hard pull contact.

Ashton McGee (2017 MIF, Goldsboro, NC) is very strong for a middle infielder at 6-1/200 and it showed in his ability to create bat speed and drive the ball hard.

Tyler Freeman (2017 SS, Rancho Cucamonga, CA) has outstanding lower half use in his swing and generates very good bat speed through it.  He didn't show much lift in BP but crushed line drive after line drive.

Tyler Hardman (2017 3B, Corona, CA) is another hitter, and not coincidently from Southern California, where they emphasize shift and lower half use, to use his whole body to generate very good bat speed and hard line drive contact.

Jayson Gonzalez (2017 MIF, Covina, CA) is one of the strongest players and best hitters in the 2017 class.  He has huge power and lift in his swing and attacks the ball with intent.
