The San Diego Padres have agreed to terms with first-round supplemental pick and right-handed pitcher
Zach Eflin for $1.2 million. The pick value for Eflin's slot was $1.525 million.
Eflin was signed to play at the University of Central Florida. The talented righty was ranked No. 19 nationally by PG as a senior this past spring. He also was ranked No. 6 in the State of Florida and No. 7 at his position on the national stage.
Eflin sits 89-92 with his fastball, topping out at 93. He also has an 83 mph changeup with a 77 curveball.
