We got our first look at the always-highly competitive Iowa Community College Athletic Conference back in mid-September, as the annual ICCAC Scrimmages took place at Prospect Meadows in Marion, Iowa. The talent in the league looks as promising as ever this year, highlighted by some impressive arms from Kirkwood and North Iowa Area Community College. The NIACC versus Kirkwood matchup was the most anticipated of the scrimmages that day (as there were dozens of pro scouts and college recruiters on hand) and it did not disappoint, as each team rolled out their fair share of 90+ mph arms.

Graysen Drezek, RHP, Kirkwood (2020 grad)
There was not an empty seat to be found as Drezek toed the rubber for Kirkwood to start the game. He garnered a lot of attention from pro scouts and four-year schools alike, as he was 91-94 mph in his two innings of work. The live-armed right-hander stands at a strong and physical 6-foot-3, 205 pounds, and although the operation is high effort, there is plenty of explosiveness there, and he seems like a good candidate to continue to trend upwards as the off season progresses. Further progression of his off-speed repertoire and command will be key for Drezek, as we already know that his fastball is a dominant, swing-and-miss type pitch.
