UCLA’s highly-touted junior class welcomed several key freshmen this fall and certainly first rounder Matt McLain was the loudest addition. McLain’s athleticism could be the perfect complement to an already stacked position player group. Catcher Noah Cardenas is another freshman with great pedigree who is in the mix to play every day. Freshmen arms Jesse Bergin and Nick Nyquist are two other key pieces as the mound is the primary question mark for the Bruins. This roster lacks a dominant arm at both the front and back of the staff but their trademark pitchability might be enough.
